cable sharing question

Ok, i have a friend that has cable connection, and they want to be able to use it on both PCs... What do I need to have to get this to work?
-A router? if so what brand and model would be the best, (this one or this one?)
-and would I have to use ICS to share the connection or does the router just do that?
-Do i need 2 NICs in the PC sharing the connection?
-or would i plug the connection into the router, and then the other CAT5 cable into both PCs?

Come on guys, use the search feature. There are like 3 of these posts on the first page alone and a long post listing all of your options. Not that I am lazy and do not like to help people but it is getting old seeing the same question every other post.

Ok now I feel guilty so I will give you help, I went to search and typed the word sharing. I checked the box for Networking forums and came up with 2 or 3 pages of threads. Do the same and you will find all the info you will need.

How is it that no one in this forum has asked the same question you have? Did you even try to use the search function? I do not mean to be a d1ck it is just that these same questions have been asked over and over and if you just spent a little bit of your time to search you would find your answer.

To answer your question about which router I would say get the netgear.
No you do not need to use ICS or have 2 NICS when you have a router
