I suppose if I were so inclined I could snoop around on their servers, but I am more interested in getting online!
Exact same problem I'm having right now. It's weird - I get a 12. address on my laptop, and a 10. address on my home computer. I'm not trying to use both computers at the same time - until I get my router back, I just plug one computer in at a time - but I still can't connect on my home PC. According to AT&T, it has to do with their DHCP server right now.

Already did. Unfortunately I'm at work and my g/f is at home, and it isn't exactly easy to tell her how to reinstall the stack, reset the cable modem, etc.

I've already done everything in your post with the exception of going through registration again. I hadn't thought of that. :p

Well, the thing is that we have to remove the devices that are currently registered - otherwise you'll get something like "you are currently registered with ATTBI" or something like that and won't be able to register again.

ATTBI blows...we were without service for 4 days awhile ago. Then they migrated over from excite@home and most people wre up in 4 days. We were down for 3 weeks. I spent like 40 hours on the phone on hold. They sent a tech out that said our account needed to be rebuilt, at which time they said it didn't. When I finally got to a tier 2 tech after forever, and after saying they'd call me back, all he had to do was send me to some webpage, send me a packet and we were back up again. Why couldn't they have just done this at the beginning instead of making us wait 3 weeks? I woulda been content w/ a 1 week wait, but no, we wait 3 weeks to get to a tier 2 tech who fixed the problem in 5 minutes. You have no idea how many times I was told to power cycle the damn modem...

ATTBI doesn't blow. I had it installed yesterday. Took 20 minutes and has worked flawlessly. :)

My friend is on the same network, he figures it is a default setting on their routers. Pretty weird failure!
