Is there any way to improve the quality of my cable tv reception?
Short of getting digital service of course.
 

Call them out for a service call. Could be a simple fix like replacing the coax connectors and maybe the tap needs a replacement.

i did this,they replced my cheap vcr to tv cable,with one the man made,then and there.

Helped a lot,much heavier cable,better ends.!

Are you over-splicing it?

Plug your TV directly into the main run from the street. If it's still bad, call the cable company. If it's much better then you need to replace your secondary cables and check your splice's...

I like this. This is funny. make them put in a signal booster. Have them "boost" a signal that might be bad from the get go.

Have them come out for a service call, check things out. Any number of things could be done to improve you signal, depending on your situation.

Likely bad cables. Are yours run underground? It might be worth inspecting the cables that you can see to make sure that it isn't your fault. I found that my cable from the cable box to the inside of my house was pinched in a little bracket that held it to the side of the house, and it stripped the insulation off. No damage to the shield though, and no apparent water damage, so I just wrapped it up. Just inspect your cables.

Well at some point I was watching TV late night, and while I was watching, the picture went fuzzier, and it's been that way since. I've tried playing with the cables, conenctions, splitters, etc and nothing seemed to help. I guess I'll give the cable company a call
