cable reception crap... ideas?

ok, the cable on my roommates side of the room is weird.... the reception sucks, but if you touch the connector on the wall... it's perfect (or rather, a crapload better).

why would this be? just a highly sensitive connection? any ideas?

Replace the connector, it's likely bad. If it's not a 'customer generated' problem, most cable companies will fix this for free.

 

Give them a call and tell them the wire is bad.

If it is a cable end they will blame you and then charge you 35 dollar service call... Get a new connetor and replace it... Or buy a premade cable.

The connectors are loose/bad.

Sounds like the cable isn't grounded right?

The connector seems the culprit; its either the connector on the wall jack or the interconnect from the jack to the TV.
