What could be causing this?

It only happens when I am watching cable T.V. DVDs do not make this sound. It also only happens in this room. All the other rooms with cable T.V do not make this noise.

Yes, I am going to call the cable company in the morning but for now I am trying to watch the election results and this is driving me crazy.
 
My parents had an old TV many years ago that made popping noises every few seconds too. It was actually giving off SPARKS inside the TV. I have no idea what caused it. Be careful!
