Cable Modem woes

Sorry, I just need to rant, well, AT&T got my area up and running last monday around 8 or so, and everything's been working just fine and dandy, but thursday nite comes by and my connection dies, no light on the cable modem. So i figure they are just down for a bit, so i wait, friday afternoon, its still down, so i try and call them but their phone lines are hella tied up and they tell me to go online and chat with them, so i do that, i'm like 3000 queued. so i wait, i get down till like 500, then my modem disconnects me, this happens again and again, i finally talk to them at 3:30 AM, and finsih talking to them at 5:00, they tell me they are gonna refresh their side and do somethign and hopefull my connection will work in the morning, guess what, it doesn't. Man, its finals time too, and i need to catch up on lectures, what should i do. About AT&T, not finals.
