cable modem n wireless router

am i dreaming or my connection - time it takes for a webpage to load - is a little bit slower when i use a wireless router, instead of plugin the rj-45 jack straight from modem to ethernet port in the computer?

like instead of taking 1 second to load pages it takes 1.5 seconds??

Anyways, have you done some empirical testing, like going to speedtest.net, and measuring your ping and bandwidth, and done an A/B comparison.

That's the only way to know for sure.
