Ok so I downloaded ethereal and captured some packets while trying to go to some of the sites that I've been having problems with. What does all this crap mean?

I took a screencap of the packets captured during my visit to pics.bbzzdd.com

What does you think? When I hit GO, I had a 5 second delay. Then it resumed normally.

Im no expert, but it appears to me that the first 5 lines there is your computer continually asking for DNS information and not getting a response back. When it finally comes back, the reponse comes from 192.168.1.178??? Or is that the IP of the computer you are using?

When you insert the Level 3 DNS servers, did you put them into your router, or into your computer? On my network it has no effect to put them into the computer, I had to go to my routers configuration page and manually enter them there. A better way really, because then every computer on the network was instantly fixed, but something I didn't think of trying right away.

Yep they are inserted at the router and I point the client computers to the router for DNS and IP. Same problem occurs if I put in the DNS on my computer itself with manually assigned IP or DHCP. Doesn't matter.

xxx.xxx.1.178 is my computer's LAN IP while xxx.xxx.1.1 is the router IP.

Its good to hear you got it fixed. I'm a little lost on why the Level 3 DNS servers didn't work while the verizon dialup dns servers are working fast. The Level 3's should be fine, I am using them with no problems at all, but hey, whatever works :)
