3DCool has a cable which is confused on whether it's 100mm=4 in, 10mm = .4 in, or 40" = 1 m

I'd guess it's the first, making it 4" long, but if so, then that picture might well be wrong too. You could e-mail them, they've got a huge Reseller Rating because of their customer service.

They have a 10-inch cable as well...that's the shortest you're going to get, if the above cable isn't really 4 inches long.

ide cables with master and slave devices can be cut :) so they only have 2 total connections... i did this with my micro atx case just this morning works just like normal

ide cable ---> }-------{----{
^cut here
mines about 4 inches ive seen some that would be around 2 or three even...
as for sata.. you could cut and solder it... looks hard though
best of all.. both of these methods are free.. + plus it is what i call "true" modding

go to SVC. They have pretty cheap shipping/cables. I'm getting some ASC, 92mm fan filter (for my side Tsunami fan), 10" IDE cable, and a 10' floppy cable for $13 including shipping.

Sounds a lot better than $20/2 cables...
