I am putting together a new tower, pretty anal about the cables. I was doing pretty well, until it came time to put in the IDE cables. Is there an art to folding IDE cables? how do Alienware, etc. make them look so nice. Im thinking i might have to get some rounded cabled, problem with that, they're so long. My optical devices are 10" away at most, & i know they make 10" single device cables, but i have 3 optical devices :( . Anyone know where they have, or if they even make, small cables? My floppy cable need to only be 4" or so. Anyways, thats why i was folding them, and it came out like crap. And why do they make the main power cable so f'ing long? Are 14-bay full tower cases that popular?

Hey, it isn't my fault the drive I wanted just HAPPENED to be SATA. Besides, if it was PATA the cable would just trace the one below it. In essence PATA would look even neater.

Well it took me a long time. My first attempt was a joke, but I gradually improved. Every time I open the case it seems I find one little thing to make it better.

Semi-success!

I did my floppy & main power cables, :camera:, that atx power conntector unused pointed down will be connected to my dual raptors serial power adapter. In the bottom right corner, :camera:, i have the front LED connectors going past, and the fan power connectors go up in the back. Here, :camera:, are my power connectors for my 3 ide devices. I think it looks good, but i hate that mess right outside the psu. I still have to do the ide cables & 1 power connector down the middle to my agp slot, though id like to hide it somewhere.

Round cables are the best IMO - helps with the air flow compared to flat cables. I also use a generous amount of tie-wraps. I purchased my cables from Coolerguys . The cables come in different lengths, colors, and interface types. Prices are very reasonable.

Yeah, but he cheated...SATA cable in there.

And he used child labor!!

I can't do this fancy cabling. I get all mine form the public library. Boy will they be mad when all their computers stop working.
