Adelphia is slooooowwww with the internet service rollout. They sent us fliers saying it was available when digital cable was rolled out at my house in the country, I called trying to get it installed, and they told me it wasn't available. I called again, got someone else, they said to call back in a month. I called back in a month, they told me it wasnt available, and it wouldn't be available for at least a year. The fliers touting it's availability kept coming. I got sick of being jerked around and decided to stick with my modem internet service.

Check out Dslreports.com. They have lists/reviews of any broadband providors in your area.

You are probably screwed for right now. Bellsouth isn't really expanding right now. They are trying to improve services in high market areas like Atlanta, Birmingham, etc right now. Your best bet for broadband might be satellite internet. Sorry man I know how much dial up sucks.
