We have a connectivity with our ISP with ISDN Conection(we don't have dsl connection in our area), and now we use CISCO 1000 ISDN Router for connection, we have 16 fixed public ip address, because this router does't have firwall function, we need firwall for security, I am not sure that I can put a Cable/Dsl router between ISDN Router and Hub, it works or not? thank you

The cisco 1000 series uses cisco IOS, so you can use access-lists. If you need more functionality, upgrade your IOS to the IP-Plus feature pack. Contact a Cisco reseller in your area or online.

The most secure solution would be a dual-ethernet router. Otherwise, you can just put everything into the hub, set all of your clients to use the DSL/cable router for their gateway, and have the DSL/cable router use the ISDN router for ITS gateway. This is ugly but I have seen businesses run their network this way.

Honestly though, it is a very simple operation to put some access-lists on any IOS router. The ISP should be happy to help if they are a decent ISP.
