AMD Athlon XP 1800+

Asus a7v266 -------- [something]

256 MB DDR

40 GB Samsung HDD

Geforce 2 MX 400 64 MB

I need to know how much power supply will be sufficient to meet these needs

Quality 300W unit like this would get it going. If you need a case and PSU, check out this one, $71 shipped isn't bad. They sell the PSU alone for $47, so $48 for PSU, case and a 120mm fan looks good even if the freight jumps a bit. Pics!

If you are gaming with that computer, I would purchase a better video card as the GF2 MX will not cut it with Today's games.

Hehe, you are going from a really old system to a budget system. Why? pretty soon you aren't going to be satisfied with the budget system either.

May I suggest you reconsider the motherboard and video card, and consider an nForce1 (or nForce2 with integrated video if budget permits) instead?

You will get better system performance, the same level of graphics performance (will require 2 memory modules for nForce1 though) and the system will be easily upgradeable in the future without wasting money on the GF MX.
