cabbage tastes awful! But cooked w/corned beef, it's yummy

It musta absorbed the fat from the Corned beef, cause cooked separately cabbage just tastes horibble to me.

Multiply how it tastes to you by a thousand and that's how I feel about it.

Now I will have corned beef with ranch dressing, but not corned beef soaked cabbage.

You must be either Polish, Jewish, or both 🙂 I dated a Polish girl once and I'll be damned if her grandma didn't make the best galumpkes (if that's even how you spell it).

Yes, I'm Jewish and my father's mother emigrated from Poland before WWII. 😱

Cabbage by itself has little or bland taste.

Boiled cabbage, blech.

Just about the only cabbage worth eating is pickled cabbage, i.e. Kimchee.

Also try it cut into strips of about 1.5" by 1", stir-fried with frankfurter slices or bacon, a little soy sauce and some very finely sliced chilli.
