CA Tax refund when????

there was a rumour that they would get an IOU, but officially at the begining of february, california said that all refund would be delayed by 30 days.

currently the controller says that they are being issued and you can check your refund status on-line. CA Franchise Tax Board

I tried the online check, it didn't work, got this:
We are unable to process your request through our Internet application. For further information, please call 800.852.5711, select Personal Income Tax, and then select option 6 to speak to a representative between 7:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except state holidays. We may modify these hours without notice to meet operational needs.

I called and she said mine was just authorized for payment yesterday, and will be direct deposited within 10 days from that date. FYI, mine was approved Feb 13th....

Don't they impound your car, causing more fees, and still force you to pay the registration?

Yes. My mother got pulled over on the highway for having expired tags. I don't know what my dad was thinking, but apparently he just misplaced registration form and never renewed, and then forgot about it.

CHP requested a tow truck, the car was towed, and my mom got a ride in the back of the cruiser to the nearest exit. The fees were through the roof for towing, a day's worth of storage at the parking lot, and for registration renewal.

That's wierd...can't they just call it in and see if it's registered?
 
Another win for Florida.

I registed both of my cars for 2 years, and my Waverunner/trailed for 1 year - total was ~117.00

And no state income tax for them to keep from me.

IOUs'... Seriously.. WTF?
