I am losing 10% a month before I even see my check.

I have to take two days a month off.

I am mandated to work my furlough days and I am paid for the days I work. It would be illegal to work me and not pay me. If I work one furlough day, I gain back 5%. two furlough days, 10%. So basically, I lost 10% and then made it back because they forced me to work the 2 furlough days.

But, now I am being told that since I worked my 2 furlough days, I have to take 2 days off to make up for it.
So we go into the next month, I lose 10% off the top of my check and I am forced to take 2 furlough days, resulting in a 20% reduction of my pay.

My head is about to assplode. 😕

Why do you have to work the days? Why can't you take the two days off a month?

I don't work for the state, but we got a 10% pay cut, but no reduction in the number of days we work a week...

I am a supervisor in a snow removal area. We have shifts that run round the clock. They mandate us to work.

Just wait...

"Judge: Governor Can Cut State Worker Pay

SACRAMENTO (AP) -- A judge is about to hand Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger his second court victory in a month after issuing a tentative ruling allowing him to cut state employees' pay.

Sacramento County Superior Court Judge Timothy Frawley issued his tentative decision Thursday and was expected to make it final a day later. It would give Schwarzenegger more authority over employee compensation during budget impasses.

The Republican governor sued state Controller John Chiang last summer after Chiang defied the governor's order to roll back salaries for thousands of state workers. Schwarzenegger wanted them paid the federal minimum wage of $6.55 an hour until a budget was in effect.

Earlier this month, the governor won the authority to furlough state workers to save $1.3 billion through June 2010."

You know the goofy sumbitch will do it too. He couldn't care less about the "little people" who do the actual work in the state.

I was there when the company that owned us went bankrupt due to "playing with the numbers" back in 2004 or so. It sucked. The budget's been passed, but so far nothing's changed. I wish you luck with your financial situation.

$20 isn't gonna buy you a very long stay in Old's basement...pony up with some serious cash if you want an entire weekend.
