CA effectively bans semiautomatic handgun sales by 2015

No you're not, but you wish you were. And that's sad. Sad enough to not win your side any long-lasting or legitimate victories.

Lol! Yeah apparently I am the boogeyman...exactly what is my side btw? Careful describing "my side", I wouldn't want to scare you with beliefs you made up to neatly tuck me into your box of stuff you hate.

Would be great if all the gun manufacturers followed Barrett's action in the past. Stop all sales to citizens and government agencies in CA. Then have all ammo manufacturers do the same. Oh I would love to see the outcome of that the moment some nutbag goes postal.

What do you expect them to sell if Cali won't renew the guns?

I'd expect any competent company to know what regulations will affect it and adjust accordingly. Considering the law was passed in 2010 (and certainly discussed before that) and then held back until may 2013, you would have thought these companies would have been prepared. Sorry, no sympathy from me.

Btw did they campaign Californians to overturn this law? No? Then what the fuck have they been doing this whole time?

Businesses of all kinds face new regulations all the time, this is nothing new, neither is using such regulations to generate more sales but it appears to be new to you😉

Sounds like a good idea, it just might force Leo's to ration their ammo and think twice about shooting people.

Lol no. California would become a massive hellhole of lawlessness if all gun and ammo makers pulled out of the state completely. You think the LA riots of the past were bad? That wouldn't even be close to what you would see happen. That is a prediction I would bet on if somehow that set conditions ever arose.

Well in every thread I can recall you're decidedly pro-gun-control and decry anyone who disagrees with gun control initiatives as any number of mean words; typically because they were disproving an argument without providing one of their own, and you think that self-destructive non-solutions are better than no solution.

I'm not saying you're a card carrying member of the Brady Campaign, but it doesn't take any reading between the lines to see who'd you'd vote for all other things being equal.

Old age will do that to ones memory.

BOO!

California will become safer as the gun huggers will move to other states and shoot themselves and their family members at higher rates.

BTW it was sunny and 65 degrees here today. How was it in the hellhole in which you live?

So the California gangs and the cartels are going to move to other states because of this? ZOMG it's so easy! 🙄

And I can go sledding here, so actually it's not all that bad. There is no such thing as bad weather, only improper attire and preparation.

Shit, you think the gangs and crack dealers will just magically disappear? Regular citizens with legally purchased guns aren't the people to worry about, it's the thugs and cops. :hmm: Wake up and dig your head out of your ass.

Wake up and dig your head out of your ass.

It's too far buried up there, especially if he's from the rich whites only compound known as Marin county. I can't even ride my mountain bike up there on the good trails where the sport was invented.

Why not, can't you afford the toll to cross the bridge? Or are you just too fat and out of shape to hack it?

Cool, I hope all civilian handgun sales are halted in California due to manufacturers not adapting. I'd hope for LE too, but I know that'll never happen.

Exactly how smart do you think your average criminal is? If they are committing crimes in the first place, they probably aren't too bright.

Maybe you gun nutters could come up with real solutions and pugs for those solutions instead of always complaining when the anti gun folks come up with their own solutions.

Smart enough to not register the stolen guns that are used in the vast majority of gun crimes.

I have never understood the fear of law abiding citizens possessing firearms. I have CCW license and have absolutely no desire to do wrong. I have a weapon for personal safety and for occasional sport. By what logic do we assume that our fellow citizen is incapable of responsibly handling a weapon, yet our government can do no wrong? There are enough examples of wrongful violence by our own police force to demonstrate that power imbued by a greater authority is not infallible. Thus, the principle of supplying a means of force into the hands of those who cannot otherwise defend themselves from corruption is a cornerstone of the United States Constitution.

What should happen if we lose the capacity to defend ourselves against evil men? Why have we lost sight of our own history such that we beg our government to take our rights away? Legal possession of firearms does not inhibit crimes committed by those who disregard the law. The right to bear arms provides the American citizenry with the function to protect their own lives, loved ones, and property against wrong-doing, whether that be in the form of one man or a corrupted power.
