Fools! now the greeting card industry has them exactly where they want them. Next stop goodbye freewill /rubs hands menacingly.

As adults how many of you have upped your TDAP?

Seems like every 5-10 years we see surges in pertussis. Quit talking about the morons not getting them done and get er done yourself.

If they wanted people to clamor for vaccines, they'd make them super expensive and only available to celebrities.

This doesn't really solve the problem though, since private gatherings (little league, birthday parties, etc.) will still expose the children to children who's parents wear tinfoil hats.

So why dont you educate us with your brilliance by explaining exactly what risk does an unvaccinated child expose to a vaccinated child? Oh, that's right, you're too busy bashing on tinfoil hat wearers to even bother making a frickin coherent statement. I would gladly wear a tinfoil hat if it protected me from whatever the hell stupid-beam hit your brain.

For example:
Rare cases where vaccine doesn't generate immunity.
Vaccinated child has a weakened immune system and becomes susceptible to disease.
Vaccinated child has an allergy to one of the shots, thus cannot be vaccinated against certain diseases.

And then there is the fact that responsible people recognize that part of living in society means we sometimes have to give up some individual freedom. Sometimes, we should care about what others in our community are doing or not doing. Vaccination protects those that cannot be vaccinated.

Why frame this as if each unvaccinated child is some sort of island, totally isolated from the interactions that they have in their daily lives?

Guess what group is the biggest opponent to this. Chiropractors, yep they act like they support legitimate medicine, but they don't. They oppose real medicine, while peddling what is little more than voodoo.

Is this really progress? I mean, when I was in high school in Texas, I failed to complete a round of vaccinations and was forced to get them or I couldn't continue to attend high school. This was over 10 years ago. Did we slide back so much since then?

Yes, and even more.

You are a so clueless I'll refrain from calling you a whole list of names I won't.

This thread is chock full of authoritarian cowards.

Self ownership is a simple concept that none of you seem to understand. That's pretty sad.

Everyone seems to understand it. Don't want to vaccinate your kid? Self own their education.

You're free to keep your kids unvaccinated. You can also then homeschool them.

Perfect.

I don't have to vaccinate AND i get them out of government indoctrination? Say it aint so!

I honestly like that as it's like daddy state is giving people permission (as if they needed it anyways) to truly educate their children (and not school them).

However what about those who don't have the ability to do that due to work or other considerations? Should they stop paying the taxes that support those schools that their child is no longer allowed to attend?

Current/recent events speak for themselves:

Stay off "the grid", and you'll be fine.

Modern society has no place for filthy hill people and their disease-ridden brood.

If you want to be part of society, start acting like someone who deserves it.

I think you're conflating Society with the State. They are two different things.

Am I to take from your statement that you'd rather those who don't do what you say should live without modern necessities?

It is not what I say, it is what science and progress say.

But, since you know better, you won't really need modern necessities. After all, you are much smarter than hundreds of years worth of immunology and disease research.

Jim Carrey and the rest of the limousine left disagree. In fact the anti-vaxxer movement in California has been strong among the limousine left crowd (who also rally around the nutter anit-gmo agenda) rather than the "hill people". In fact the biggest measles outbreak in the SF Bay Area occurred in Marin a bastion of wealthy democrats. Of whom some were not vaccinating their kids because of the "vaccines cause autism....big pharma" blah, blah garbage that is popular there.

Who's this guy science? I've never met him or the fellow named progress. As you know they aren't people and someone is speaking on its behalf. "science says" nothing. You or someone has to be interpreting it and trying to use the name of science as their authority. That might fool the masses but some don't fall for that shit. In the name of "progress" is another attempt at misguiding the masses. Progress depends on who's observing. Clearly you think progress is made when people who don't do as you say live a life without modern necessities. However, progress to me would be putting your ass to work instead of allowing a parasitic class to feed off of the masses by fear, coercion and your twisted words like that above.

But, since you know better, you won't really need modern necessities. After all, you are much smarter than hundreds of years worth of immunology and disease research.

That's just it. I don't claim to know what's best for other people. They can decide for themselves. You on the other hand think you know better and are willing to torture those who do not comply with your way of life.

This is pure gravy as the paranoid parents that think think the gubnit's retarding their kid still have the option of keeping their kid at risk and will probably mind no loss not having their kid in evil gubnit indoctrination education. Meanwhile those that do go to public school are free to not be exposed to non vaccinated children, no one needs to be put at risk due to a lack of responsibility of other parents. It's great both ways. 🙂
