I think I'm going to get the 16" by 16" Gamer C4 Mousemat for 10.95 shortly...

Can anyone suggest other possible options for where i can put this on..I would assume that it would have to be 16" be 16" also and very thin...how thin is that cutting board?

Thanks!

[edit]

Which one? : Midnight
non-stick

I was thinking the first..

You can apply to cutting board (take C4 to store with you to make sure it sticks--adhesive is silicone--silicone sticks to silicone); silicone sheet from ACE?? Home Depot? C4 will even stick to aluminum/metal --flat cookie sheet, wood, should stick to linoleum vinyl, hard coat (plasticized sheeting like you get with a Dell or cheap mousepad). As always, take C4 with you & pretest.

C4 Pro Gamer version is large--take care in application.

Let us know what you select. "Necessity is the Mother of Invention' :) Sher

More C4 Feedback from Beta Testers 28 & 29:

"First off, thanks for generously sending me the sample mouse sheet. My
roommate and I really appreciate being able to test your product. After
using this mousepad pad for 30 hours each, here are the feedbacks.

The mousepad was just as I expected; excellent surface but just slightly a
bit too slick. It was a little bit too smooth for my roomate and me. In
other words, the surface is not perfect. But it is still infinitely better
than 99% of the mousepads out there. The ONLY mousepad that I think is
better than yours is the Func. You can take a look at www.func.net and see
their mousepad. My roommate currently uses this mousepad. It has two sides
with two different textures (one smooth and one rough). The texture of the
c4 is just a slightly rougher than the smooth side of the Func and a little
smoother than Func's rough side. Here are the pros and cons of your
mousepad when comparing to the Func:

-Pros-
1/3 of the cost (the func cost $20 + shipping).
Almost identical surface texture to the Func.
The option of order a larger surface (i.e. func only offers 11x8 while you
have 16x16).

-Cons-
No mounting product.
Not as aesthetically pleasing.
Not having the option of choosing a rougher surface.

The option of getting a larger mousepad with almost identical surface
texture would be the key reason why gamers would choose your mousepad over
the func. Since the c4 is slightly smoother than the func's rough surface,
what gamers have to do is turn down the sensitivity of their mouse. Once
their sensitivity is turned down, they need more surface area in order for
their cursor to cover the same distance as when the sensitivity is high.
This is why a larger c4 is an excellent option for gamers. Basically, size
does matter :)"

I'll throw in a bump for this thing. I ordered the 16" sticky pad, cut it to fit my desk, and stuck it directly on the (fake) wood. Got it and the teflon feet the other night and fired them up with Call of Duty. I'm in love with this mousepad. . . . All of my friends that know I got the teflon feet have stolen as many as they can. I would recommend this to anyone, in combination with teflon. Just make everyone you know order their own when yours come.

Funny thing, I looked at my monitor and saw the pointer creeping very slowly across the screen. . . . turns out my 85 cfm Delta fan was vibrating the desk enough to push the mouse a little bit.

It took a little while to get used to how smooth this sucker is, but now I'll never go back.

Mmmmmm . . . . . buttery smooth. . . . .

BTW, anyone know what they use for adhesive to stick to the teflon?

Sobrien42, you guys need to do what these guys did for your mousepad. Precut sheets to fit existing high-end pads. Good for all us folks that have wore-out our Ratzpads, etc.

Great idea, however, these guys are way too pricey on their product. $20 for a sheet ..Sheesh.

I justy wanted to mention again that you guys should really try to get some reviews done.

Especially here at anandtech, sharkyextreme etc.

Id stay away from Tomshardware though, he will just bash your product because it isnt made by intell or nvidia :p

How smooth is this exactly? I have a pull-out drawer type thing for my keyboard and mouse and it's not particularly stable.. and i lean on it sometimes...

will this make my mouse fall off the table?

Why is there a $2.50 shipping for something a little more than a piece of paper? I don't need 32 pieces too.

If anyone care to drop a few teflon discs in an envelope with a stamp and send it to me, I've got paypal waiting. :)

Because it isn't free to send anyting. Because they have to pay the post office to bring it to you, in manner that wont bend the sheet and ruin the mouse tape.

My tape arrived in a very hefty corrugated cardboard envelope which I assume is where most of the shipping cost comes in. The actual postage on it was $0.83.

83 cents sounds about right....so I guess they do make some money from shipping?

I seriously doubt it. I just mailed a CD the other day, and the cheapest envelope the post office offers for it, is a bubble envelope that was like 1.30 or something.

I am guessing that the shipping cost is pretty honest. Alot of people don't take into account the cost of the shipping material when the whine about shipping. Its not just the actual postage, they have to recoup cost for the materials so I doubt they are making money on shipping.

Hi. We do ship the C4 separately from the tape in a tube in order to prevent any damage from shipping. If you do not receive it soon, pls contact me.

I have no idea where you came up with that, but it offends me as well. This is a great product, at a very reasonable price and sobrien42 has gone out of her way to keep in touch with this community and respond to it's thoughts a ideas. I have never yet met someone so interested and invested in presenting a great product to us, and taking the personal time to interact with the community. I think that you should learn some manners and know more about a product/situation before you decide to make those kind of unfair statements.

sobrien42:

Try not to take that remark to seriously. There are alot of people on these boards that allow the anonymity of the internet be a cover for bad behavior.

Is this made from the same material as the circular teflon mouse feet? not the thread-crap, but i was not impressed with the circular mouse feet from this company at all. sure you get alot of them, but they are very thin (my ie 3.0 feet tore thru one of the back pads) and lost their smoothness in about a week on both mouse i used (one was on a pad, other on a plastic desk)
