For one, C2IT is now free which many of us know!

1. you get $10 for signing up and sending out cash the first time (you can send as little as $1)
2. you can send it to your spouse and pocket the additional $10 by sending it back to one account...
3. you can also put a link up on all your auctions or on your webpage for a $5 referral bonus - unlimited I think.
4. Sign up through [Referral link deleted by AnandTech Moderator] and every third person will receive an additional $10.

Now this is a much better deal than paypal, I don't think the referrals have to fund the account or anything for the $5 bonuses...

I know you know better than this.

Better watch out using C2IT. I just checked a credit card statement that I used to send some money with (I sent $1 just to see how it works). And the credit card company charged me a transaction fee of $5.

It was a FirstUSA card, and I called them up, and she claimed they could have charged me $15 if they wanted. What a ripoff. Not to mention the fact I couldn't even understand 90% of her english.

Did she say why they had the right to charge you. Not like you paid late or anything. I would never let that stand. If I were you I'd call citibank and ask them why they had the authority to charge you on that, or even if they did. I'm definately gonna watch out for that.

Better read the fine print

*Offer subject to change at anytime. You will be charged a transaction fee each time you send money.

here from the tos.

If you use a Linked Card Account to fund your c2it transactions, the issuer of your Card Account shall determine whether to treat the transaction as a purchase, a cash advance, or as quasi cash and whether any additional fees will apply.

I used a citibank card, and I wasn't charge a fee

Yep, it depends on the credit card company if they want to treat charges like paypal or c2it as cash withdrawals or purchases. You just got the wrong CC company, Chase, Discover and most major cards won't. It is pretty much the same rule as it was with paypal I have found.

Except ZERO chance of a chargeback once you claim your money.

Better read the fees, limits, & availability page.0000000000000000000. The card was not charged by C2it. It was their own credit card company that charged them a cash advance fee.

Exactly, you are only charged by your credit card company, not c2it. Just don't use a card that charges cash advance fees, like citibank, chase, discover or any debit card with a visa emblem (they can't charge cash advance fees).

Stay away from First USA - they are the worst CC company out there. I had cash advance fees that I tried to get taken off, but they wouldn't budge. When I threatened to close two accounts with them, the customer service person actually told me, "We don't need your business". Avoid them at all costs.
