When I up my DS3(F8 bios) to 400FSB I sometimes don't get any video signal but windows loads fine because I can hear the windows welcome sound. If I shutdown and turn back on I usually get video. Have a Enermax 485watt 24 pin if it matters.

Running E6300 and 2x1gb Gskill PC6400. Any ideas?

BTW video is a X1800XT

Sounds like your PSU is not giving your video card enough juice?

Does this happen at stock? Have you raised voltage on the overclock, at all? Did you try going straight to 401?

It doesn't seem to do it at stock setting or even set to 333mhz FSB(2.3ghz or something). But once I tried 400mhz the video acted a little odd. I know its dumb to bump FSB up so quickly but I have 800mhz memory and have read pretty much all C2D's should do 2.8ghz with some voltage but I haven't tried more than 1.35v. Yesterday I ran stock voltages at 2.8ghz. When I did get the system to boot with video I ran Orthos for 9+ hours and it was stable. Over night I let memtest run(7+ hours) and not a single error. It sounds like my system is stable, something is just causing my video to act funny when o/ced.

The only time I can get video is if I power down and wait a few seconds and even that doesn't work all the time. But like I said when I don't get any video my system will still post. It very odd.

I have not messed with them as I am uncertain what they do. Are they disabled by default and if not should I? Do you know what they do exactly?
