Finished with OCing my 760 for now and was curious as to which is the best way to manage the cpu since I wont need that power all the time. Currently have C1E and EIST disabled but the c3/c6 states is enabled and seems to lower my multi which helps with temps. Is there a prefered combination of settings recommended for OC'd rigs? Thanks.

Actually he is talking about Lynnfield.

I leave them all on to be honest. Nehalem draws more power but i like that it idles at 2.2 from 3.6 at the desktop and under light load.

I use a program called K10stat to undervolt and underclock my Phenom II. You should check to see if there is a version for the intel CPUs. I keep mine at 600mhz at 0.65v, which works out to less than 5 watts under full load.
