Impressive. I too am waiting for my 1.8A (hopefully C1) from Intel. I hope I can get the same results as you. BTW, what kind of cooling did you use?

I hope you didnt use too much voltage,it would be a shame to kill the OC potential of a C1.

Blurry, I used a Swiftech MCX 4000 with a ThermalTake SMart Fan 2 as my cooling setup.

Surprisinly, I didn't need to bump up the voltage that much. On my bios, it says 1.7 but in reality it is floating around 1.61-1.68

Cpu temps are around 37c Idle and 46c at full load.

I can't exactly remember...but I think it was a SL6LA. I know it is a C1 defintely because on the bios screen, the default voltage is 1.525V.
PeeLucky, like I said above, I am using a Swiftech MCX -4000 with a TT Smart Fan 2. The core voltages on the bios screen is 1.7, but it varies between 1.61-1.68

When can we start to expect these to show up at vendors like newegg, googlegear, etc.?

I am looking for either the 2.0A or 2.2A to run at least at 133FSB. If you happen to get a C1, please post where you bought them from.... thanks!

LCD please put this info in my c1 overclocking study thread...

We are all very interesyed in the online vendor you purchased it from as well as the mobo you ran it on. Many who have c1 1.8's have not done as well as you. Most couldn't the c1's to do any better thenb older B0 stepping.

Ok Duvie, I posted my results in your thread. It includes the mobo I used, the online vendor I bought from, and my setup.

very nice...pair that up with some 3:4 mem ratio and you are ready to roll out anyone in games...lol

per win96 (too buggy), win97 (never made because of office97 is too buggy), win99 (ppl over a microsucks do not know how to get over that millennium bug (but they shipped it out anyway as winME)

Hey LCD, sorry I wasn't more clear...please place it in the "c1 overclocking study" thread and follow the listing procedure listed in the first post...

Sorry about that...This would be very beneficial info...Thanks!!!

At 192fsb they will need to come up with a whole new standard for you to run 3:4 ratio....512mhz ddr...WOW....

This board was made for Granite Bay IMO...Get it and you will be pulling 4600-4700 sandra scores likely, and you will own all those rdram biatches!!!

I think I could push higher since the temps are good, However, my Abit mobo won't let me go over 1.7vCore.
Perhaps I should get a new powersupply and maybe do the wire trick?

Duvie: I was considering the GB route..however I was hoping I could wait til the Spingdale chipsets.

Does the abit undervolt??? I mean if it lets you set 1.7v in the bios that may not be actually what you are running...Monitor it in the windows environment and see what actual vcore is being delivered...

My opinion dont go above 1.7v actual at idle....Got a nice chip and don't mess with it. Anything really above default is often minor in terms of overall overclock...most of my ocing has shown me a max of 200mhz over default vcore to 1.7v.

Only do the wire trick if the board undervolts so much (ie like .07v). I pin mod mine to run 1.7v, because my board undervolts .07-.08v. That means at 1.7v I am actually ownly 1.62-1.63v...so I bumped it up +0.075v then with the undervolting I get 1.7-1.71v actual at idle...

I get around 1.65 at idle and down to 1.61 and sometimes dips into the 1.5 territory at full load.
I have a hunch that my cheap powersupply isn't giving enough juice.

what kind of system stability checks have you done??? I haven't heard you mention any...I can often boot into something 100-150+mhz more then it can run stable at...May want to test that...may have a false sense of what speed you can run at, and run at it error free...

just like duvie said, have you tested it with stability programs like prime95?

does your board support 4:5 ratio? it would be awesome if you can run at this speed stable with 460 ddr
