So I'm watching the movie "the ring" on ppv and she's visiting the intarweb, ostensibly a search engine to investigate evil goings on. All the sites she visits have C:\blah blah in the address bar.

What's with lazy ass movie makers not taking half a second to try to make things look technically realistic? I mean LOTR takes eons to render a frikin' gollum but they can't pay godaddy $6 for a website or modify their hosts file or something?

Hollywood sucks.

You're talking about a movie where a girl terrorizes people over VHS, and you're complaining about this?

The thing I found most irritating about the intrawebs0rs scene in that movie was the incredibly poor photochops.

Just because I do the intarweb for a living. I'm sure the media/VHS people had a field day with the vcr digits thing...
