c:program files>common folder....

On a friends laptop, everytime you turn it on, or restart it, the folder for c-programfiles-common appears on start up. Also, it's empty.
Any idea what's going on here?
It's brand spanking new, just installed all the security stuff for it, as in the spyware forum, that's it.

There is probably a shortcut to it in his Start Menu --> Programs --> startup folder.

start -->> run --> type "msconfig" -->> choose startup and uncheck whatever needs to be unchecked 😛

As an alternative to msconfig and manually going through the registry I suggest using Startup Control Panel
