Yeah, they seemed to like it A LOT, even putting it head to head with a 911.

very cool. Don't see a lot of over-enthusiastic soon-to-be-delivered cars actually impress to the point where I am made even more excited for the car.

I didnt know about the 1 technician per engine thing. Do that in the US, surely the car would have to cost 10x more, not that japan labor is cheap either.

C/D has held the 911 in very high esteem for quite a few years now, so this is definitely a good sign for the GT-R.

I'd still take a 911 Turbo any day over this 350Z Fried Rice Edition.

Didn't they say on Top Gear a week ago that it beat the 911 in the nurbrunginggung.

Looks like the 996 Turbo now has some competition up at the top of my "one day" list. :D

Based on affordability and performance, not necessarily looks. ;)

It sounds like the GT-R is a good successor to the 300ZX. If you liked that car, you'll like the GT-R.

Agreed.

I bet it could give a Ferrari F430 a run for its money, but come on, which would you rather have?

The one that is in stock and ready for delivery on the day I show up with the cash. I'm not very patient when it comes to things I want now... imagine what I would be like if I was filthy rich. :p

Of course it's about 2x the price out the door.

It's interesting the GT-R is RPM limited to it's top speed instead of drag limited.

People think the 911's are untouchable, but the Z06 gives the Porsche guys fits on the track.

The GT-R is more a cruiser than a sports car in the purest sense. It was coincidental the car became Godzilla.

Those two have nothing in common, the gtr is the successor to the r34 skyline which was not available here. Odds are the crowd that actually owned the previous skyline wont like this one so much because the drivetrain cant transfer power to the left or right wheel only front and back.

They need to use the dual clutch setup, it simply shifts faster and allows them to get the numbers they need.

The 911T with the tiptronic is faster than the manual version.

Of course you have lots of people who will easily sacrifice some performance for manual gearbox.

BMW always offers a 6 spd option on their SMG M models.
