C&C: Generals

Hello 🙂

So the long-awaited C&C generals arrives finally and the system specs say 1 ghz 16 mb videocard is all i need... who do they think they're joking? =P I've been wanting to buy this for quite some time, but I'm not quite sure how well my system can handle it. Does anyone have experience with the game and can tell me how well it runs on their system, realistic requirements, etc?

ideally at 1024x768 resolution,

I have a p4 1.6, 256 rdram, r8500 (original 64 mb)

I heard 512 mb of RAM is REALLY REALLY reccomended.

I just read the IGN review, and purchased the game. Should arrive next week hopefully 🙂

Geforce 3
512mb DDR 2700 RAM

arrrg damn edit stuipd keyboard. Anyways my friend said expect it to be like the older C&Cs but slower paced... some units are way to powerful and some opinions. I don't know i was never huge on C&C.

Yes, I agree with the warez part... if you can't afford a game then i think you have a few more things to worry about than playing the latest one.

And I played it... I'm not sure what the system specs were but they were fairly high-end Dells by the look of it. I'd say stick with the recommended specifications and you should be fine - that's what they're for, anyway.

I'm no angel, but all OS/Productivity software on my box is legit. MP3s I could be tagged for, but at this point in my life, I just go out and buy whatever music I really want.

dude alot of games DO get demo'd... its usually after the release or whatever. Be patient. If you can't wait then there are always reviews from mags and stuff... like PC Gamer or whatever. If you buy a game and find out it sucks, thats your own fault for not doing the research beforehand.

You can have a cookie. If you bother to follow the development of games you like, you'd know you want to get it WAY before it hits shelves. Besides, its C&C, do you really think they would fubar this one up?

Ever hear of reading a review?

Studios have full right to protect their property. If they don't want to release a demo, fine. It may delay my purchase, but it won't stop it.
