C&C Generals question

I just started playing this, ans when I try to start a skirimish, after about 30 everthing I have (Which is much) completely blows up and it says I have been defeated. Do I need to unlock something to play the skirmishes?

Uninstall then reinstall the game.

In the past that was the way they stopped illegal copies.

Its store bought, right out of the box.

It happened to me with Red Alert 2. I'm actually not sure if you need to uninstall it first but reinstalling fixes the problem.

It happened in Red Alert 2 when some files were corrupted. I guess that's how the Westwood/EA programmers like to handle errors.

I reinstalled the game and it's working fine now. Seems very odd to me.
