Oh wow... theyve obviously seen dawn of war II and basically just copied it haha, the way the GDI mcv lands is a total ripoff of the reinfocement thingy from DOW II. Its a bad DOW II copy as well :/

Anyone else tried it?

Tried it and not a fan, the fun of CNC for me was always building a base with the ultimate defense, the new style is just not fun for me.

Man, this series just needs to die. The developers lack any imagination and they're trying to be overly creative with the series.

C and C was about real-time warfare with a coherent campaign. Now it's just random maps, missions, and horrible story telling. Their target audiance went from 16+ to 8-14 year olds.

Agreed 100%. C&C4 is absolutely horrible. I played the early and the late beta hoping something would improve but it didn't. The graphics are basically reminiscent of RA3 and NOT C&C3. The devs clearly tried to make the game more like DOWII and CoH, but there was no need for that. C&C3 was great just the way it was. All they had to do was follow the same formula. While C&C3 was a step in the right direction, everything after that was a huge step BACKWARD. I don't want to blame EA too much, because they do make some good games such as Deadspace and Dragonage, (not to mention the Strike series on SEGA back in the 90's) but they went and completely destroyed what was left of C&C. This last game is fail, in every way fail comes to mind.

The series was ruined for good once EA bought out Westwood. C&C3 was at least a step in the right direction by going to the series's GDI vs. NOD roots, but it'll never be the same unless someone gets a time machine and keeps Westwood alive.

Yeah, its pretty much dead to me. Lets take a very successful proven franchise and change it completely good idea EA... stopping rant right there. Ah well, theres always reboots :) Maybe EA will take a page out of actilizzards book and sell off the IP they dont need/want. The way C&C4 is looking i dont think it will make much if any cash at all.

I haven't enjoyed any of the C&C series since Red Alert / Counter Strike / Aftermath. Tiberian Sun was so-so, and Generals was mediocre at best. Red Alert 2 wasn't great, and the other more recent games that I've tried haven't held my interest for more than 5 minutes.

Just give me Obelisks / Tesla Coils / dogs / Tanya / Ion cannons / etc. and I'll be happy. I know they're trying to diversify and not do the same thing over and over... but C&C is one of the few games where you WANT the same thing over and over, with just a few twists thrown in for good measure and better graphics / interface than the last one.

Generals IMO was the best improvement of the series even though it was very corny at times.

It was a decent game, but it does not need to be called C&C.

C&C is about slaying Soviets or Nod fundies.
