The title says it. Now that C&C 3 and Sup Comp have both been out for a good while, has any of your opinions changed as to which is the better game?

Many of my friends have slowly become bored with C&C 3 even though they initially liked it better. Sup Com just seems to have way better depth.

What does Anandtech say?

I played supreme commander for about a total of 10 hours. It was okay but a little to large of a scale for me, and it just ran like crap on my computer (probably because I was playing it with dual screens.

I just barely started C&C 3 last night and I'm having way more fun playing it than Sup Com. I've only been playing it for about 5 hours though, and I'm on Act 3 of the GDI campaign, so I feel like it's probably going to be a really short game.

I finished all the campaigns in SC. I played C&C for about 6 missions and was thoroughly bored and irritated. I haven't gone back to it.

If there were an option for neither, I'd choose that.

I went through C&C3, as I always feel compelled to finish games no matter what, but it was a real gut check about halfway through.

Spellforce 2 is the only RTS that I could get into recently, and that's mainly because of the RPG elements and heroes.

I like the cut scenes in C&C3, but a lot of the missions were incredibly difficult. I don't mind reloading once or twice, so long as I make headway on the mission, but reloading dozens of times because the mission is so incredibly difficult just isn't much fun. With the smaller scope of C&C, I don't see me playing much multiplayer with it either. SupCom seems to lend itself better for that because of the larger maps and constant resource stream.

I tried C&C3 again today after playing supreme commander...

Why can't I zoom out? It's like being trapped in a box, looking through a tiny hole. Why would you restrict this? And then there's the speed - I only own two harvesters and I have pretty much unlimited money - what is the point? I can have the highest level tech in about a minute, you might as well just give me unlimited units and see how fast I can think of things to do with them, except there is only one thing to do with them - throw them straight at the enemy. Anything else, like building a second base or seizing a resource point, seems to be a complete waste of time.

Because its not fair to those who arent sporting top of the line rigs. Also if youve got so much money thats fantastic, but you will be annihilated by the other player whos poor because he has *spent* his money on useful stuff like tanks :p Also if you dont set up other bases you will get mauled, same if you just send the tanks in.

I agrea bout the Zooming part, but I still like C&C better

You know, you run out of Tiberirum VERY quickly. Its not like SupCom where you can have 10 billion power plants, and another 10 billion mass extractors providing unlimited resources.

C7C is a VERY fast paces game. Which means, you have to pump out as many units as possible.

In Sup Com all you do is mass about 300 tanks and tier other 3 units, and just watch as your computer lags from the 500 troops on screen firing lasers that sound like they were ripped from Star Wars.

You can't really do that in SC once you get into the higher echelons of competition.

C&C 3 is great, although I found the mission mode too short, and I find the online play choppy and sometimes unitunitive (the lobbies).

I never cared much for the C&C series, building 1 unit at a time no matter how many factories you have is retarted. The system used in TA/Supreme Commander was unique compared to other RTSs.

They fixed that problem in Command & Conquer 3.

Sup Com > C&C3 IMO

So much more depth. 80x80km 4v4 maps are amazing!!! Zooming in/out on the fly with the scroll button is the greatest thing to hit RTS...ever.

Why would I, I don't care for the C&C build method.

...... which is why i asked about generals, its completely different, and c&c3 partially follows in its footsteps.
