Hey all,

I was wondering if anyone could give me a hand on trying to find out how I can use the Aero Cool X-vision Fan controller without needing to plug it into a motherboard. I'm looking to use it in an external capacity however when plugged into a 12v molex power feed it won't turn on. The only thing that I can really think of is that it needs to have a signal of boot up sent to it through the first fan input which is also supposed to be attached to a motherboard fan header. Any suggestions?

-Thanks for your input!

You say, "when plugged into a 12v molex power feed it won't turn on". A Molex power supply connector contains TWO supplies - 12 VDC and 5 VDC. Did you use ONLY a 12VDC supply on only ONE pair of power input pins? If you did, the controller does not have a +5 VDC supply for its own circuits.
