Well the pilot XBL rewards program ended today, totally sucks I liked getting my bonus points for spending. I purchased a lot of TV show episodes with the extra bonus points I earned. I'm really hoping they implement this as a full thing. Anyone else get invited 8 months ago to the pilot program?
 
That explains what was happening on my wifes acct.

Had between 700 - 800 pts from winning in the mob of 1 vs 100. Spent 400 on a live game then a bit later checked and the balance was back up to a little over 500.
 
Man I'm really surprised at how like... unknown this pilot program was. I'm pretty much the only person I know that has it. I'm really hoping they push this as a full fledged program. I would also like if they added a subscription to zune marketplace that included TV and Movies. I'd pay an extra 10-15 a month on top of my XBL gold account in order to have full access to zune marketplace streaming.

From what I've heard and talking to other xbl users it must of been rather rare, so i was rather lucky yeah.

That's not a deal at all. They are just getting you to spend a bunch of money by giving you something for free when you probably over paid for the stuff you bought anyways.

I saw right thru that deal when it popped up on my 360 lol

I don't see how there's a downside... you buy things as you normally would, and if you buy enough you'll get points back. Sure there's some people that will probably buy more than they would otherwise only because of the bonus points, but that's their fault... not the fault of the program. Bing cashback works the same way. It's stunning that you think it was some sort of scam. What's wrong you with? Your mama dropped you on your head or something?
 
I never said it was a scam. MS is a bunch of hustler's seriously. If you tell someone you will give them something for free if they buy something from you they will be interested, if there wasn't anything free then they could care less what's on sale.

Once the whole free word comes into play people will spend and spend some more to take advantage of the free thing which I think is too funny as the stuff on live is overpriced anyways most of the time, especially the games.
