A small morsel of how truely desperate SCO is: at one point in time they claimed to have evidence of the infringement, now they think that IBM should go through their own code and show where the code was obtained, proving they didn't use anything from Unix. Doesn't look like they will get their way.

AIX is a dinosaur, IBM is still pushing Linux for the Server and workstation markets

can ibm sue sco for legal charges from sco with its stupid lawsuits that had no ground?

that would be classic, sco goes out in a ball of blue flames, and gives all their remaining money to IBM's lawyers.

It's a moot question. In about 2 blinks of an eye, SCO will have no money to sue for.

That is an ignorant statement. Rambus has won cases, it has lost cases, but more importantly it bitch slapped the US Govt's anti-trust case. Bottom line though is Rambus did have a valid patent claim, they held the patent before JEDEC commenced its meeting, and thus did NOT steal stuff from the JEDEC meeting. Memory companies claim Rambus defrauded JEDEC by not disclosing their patents. Its kind of odd because the US Federal Court found that Rambus did not defraud JEDEC members(the US Govts anti-trust case), but the Infineon jury concluded that Rambus did defraud JEDEC, and thus Infineon. This is far from over, juries can and will likely swing either way.

Rambus also has some impressive technology that will be used in video cards in a couple generations.
