CEO, CIO and COO all resigned yesterday.

While that doesn't necessarily mean Clear is closing its doors today, that simply can't be a good sign when all three of your company's top executives jump ship the same day.

Cleaer has been going downhill fast. All those talks about Sprint going LTE, Clear no longer doing consumer, only business now, WiMAX is pretty much done. Sprint gambled and lost.

They'll have to keep them going. I'm sure when they go LTE it'll have dual radios in it.

Any ISP where my average level of downloading (which is huge I will admit) can disrupt service in an entire city doesn't deserve to exist. It wasn't the first time I was asked to move to a different ISP, but it was the only time where the request came off almost like begging....

I contracted for them for a while when I lived in Seattle. I never understood what the great appeal of it was with all of it's limitations. When it came time to receive a full-time offer, I declined.

That is news to us out here in the WiMax areas. Clear sucked. Sprint is doing fine with it.

They already spent the cash. LTE is a bit easier to roll out in areas where there is no WiMax but I doubt they will just let WiMax crumble and die. Esp since they just brought 3 more cities up in the last month.

Clear was basically done when the industry (followed by Sprint) decided on LTE as their future standard.

They don't have to do a whole lot more than change the software to switch to LTE, the hardware is the same. They will just have to come up with a transition plan for those with wimax hardware.

Exactly, they already have talked about what they need to it. Just simple software to change their existing towers. It's not a matter of if but when.

wouldn't it be much cheaper to get customers new handsets than run 2 networks?
