Bye Bye Cable Modem....Need Advice about somethin....

Hey, so I am losing my nice Cable Modem with my move. Along with it I am losing my POP3 Mail Account. The only other account I have is a hotmail account and we are not able to put those in our profile. I will not be getting another POP Mail account for about three months and was just curious what the best thing to do would be?

get like a netzero account or something.. that should give you pop access also.. or you can use a forward address that forwards to your hotmail and pop out of it.

Well my main concern is not having a valid e-mail in my profile. I can't sign up for one of those free net access things because they do not have a local telephone number at where I will be located.

Maybe there is a local free net in your area that offers a pop3 account. Here we have a county free net. That's what I use for these forums. Just a thought.

There you go. Russ can hook you up with an Originpoint account for free. Those are aloud here and you can direct that mail whereever you'd like.

becuase people can sign up numerous times under numerous hotmail accountl. Like some people that have been kicked (A.k.a Dennifloss) he'd be back under a new hotmail account.

Pardon my ignorance, but aren't those free email accounts? If so, anyone can sign up to Anandtech with them, and trolls can sign up to Anandtech with a new username over and over. The mods wouldn't be able to stop them from coming back at all. The same policy applies to yahoo email addresses, Netzero, etc.

You can't use those free email addresses because they were abused. There are other free addresses you can use because they have not been abused yet.
