Go here (the official College Football Playoff site) to vote for the new logo and read more about it all..

First championship game under this in Jan, 2015.

"The four-team playoff that begins next year is radical in the sense there's never been even a mini-tournament to decide the sport's national champion (FCS and below notwithstanding), but it's still the same people (Jim Delany, Mike Slive et. al.) calling the shots and mostly the same bowl games hosting the playoff semifinal games. It's essentially BCS 2.0, with those in charge openly admitting they're still largely wed to a more traditional postseason."

Looks like the Rose, Sugar, Orange,Fiesta,Cotton and Chick-fil-A bowls for the semi-finals.

Now everyone can quit complaining about the BCS system and start complaining about this one. 🙂

its better, but its still not right.

you need conferences that play each other exhaustively with winners based on W/L, and not on polls, that seed a tournament.

it wont be legit until there is no voting involved whatsoever. until then it will still just be conference bias and possibly deserving teams shut out.

There is no perfect system, but personally I think this is a great step forward from the crappy setups we've had for decades. Heck, even in basketball people still whine about why so-and-so didn't get in at #68 in the tournament. People will find a reason to whine, but in the end I'd like to see it settled on the field. A small playoff like this is good, but not perfect.

There will still be a bunch of complaining, but I like it for the most part. 8 teams would be better, though.

What's this you can start complaining, while better than the previous they did a crappy job starting the new system so of course people had already been complaining.

Meh. I don't care much about this non-playoff-playoff thing.

Current BCS system is just fine for me. In fact, while I never personally experienced it because I wasn't in the US then, from what I heard the pure polling system like what they had before BCS sounds best to me.

I don't care about the 'true' national champion. Let the conferences have their bowl tie ins, and we can all enjoy watching all the bowl games at the end of the season. Coaches and media will vote for the ranking at the end of the bowl season. Popularity contest? Damn straight. Split number one? Sure, why the hell not.

Awful logos. I voted for the first one though; it seemed to be the least awful of what was presented.
