i have my PC open and while doing some other clean up and slight upgrades, I decided to replace the fans on my Power supply

This is a Herolchi HEC350-LD bought for a an AMD 1.0Ghz system about 3 years ago.

I have opened the unit and there is a 90mm fan (blows from case to PSU) and a 80mm fan that blows from PSU to the outside

they were both connected to a 1.5cm square circuit board with two pin connectors (one for each fan)

There is a black and white wire from the 80mm exhaust fan for rpm sensing

My question: i have removed the fans from the small circuit board and wanted to make sure that the PSU will still power up....i wasn't sure if it is typical that if i connect the fans to a fan controller, the PSU will not 'see' the fans hooked to it's internal PSU and think they have failed and won't start the PSU

I suspect that i can install my fans and connect them directly to my fan controller...and the PSU will not know the difference

thanks for any feedback

So i look up the four beeps and generally it says i am screwed (motherboard/cpu failure)....but further reading came across a suggestion that I clear my CMOS, which I did, and i am typing from my PC which has apparenty successfully come through several changes...

thanks for the assist....now i just need to add a couple drives, button everything up and i am and i am back on top...
