I dunno if it's just me, but the precautionary statement on a 20oz bottle of A&W Cream Soda bottle cracked me up. I guess people needs to be warned about everything like a child, because otherwise they'd sue.

It says:

"WARNING CONTENTS UNDER PRESSURE. CAP MAY BLOW OFF CAUSING EYE OR OTHER SERIOUS INJURY. POINT AWAY FROM FACE AND PEOPLE, ESPECIALLY WHILE OPENING.", they're all in capital and WARNING is emphasized..

Yeah, all pop bottles say that.. lol

I've never had one "pop" off, though.

I swear I have a copy of American Pie on VHS. If I can find it, I'm watching it tonight 😀

I have a better one for you:

The claymore mines that the military uses. You have to be well trained to use them, so you would know which direction it's going to fire. On the front of the mines it says "this end towards enemy"
😀

What I always found funny is if you go to a AM PM and get a hamburger the inside center of the foil wrapper has a circle drawn around it which says "PLACE HAMBURGER HERE"... Its not really a warning but shows how dumb some must be.

The best one I've heard of (but can't prove) is the Superman halloween costume with the warning label: "WARNING! Cape does not enable wearer to fly."

As a firm believer that the average person is just pain stupid.... When products are first sold, do you think they have those labels? It is when the bright person sticks objects A into hole B and sues because it really hurts to have it removed. "But there was no warning saying that this object wasn't supposed to be crammed in hole B."

really, the windex bottle says, do not eat. or something like that. why would anyone eat that. really. those people deserve to be eliminated from the gene pool.

No they don't. Minutemaid 20oz, Fanta Pinenapple 2 liter, Coke 2 liter, Pepsi Twist 24oz or Coke 20oz don't mention a word about it.

A&W has this writing along with a symbol that has exclamation point inside a triangle.

EXACTLY THE POINT.....
They got sued sometime in the past when Uncle D!psh!t wasn't paying attention, shook the bottle a little too much and the top came off and he got some in his eyes. I am surpirsed that a #2 pencil doesn't have a warning that the end may be pointy and if lodged into eye, may hurt and impare vision.

lol, pretty soon they will put warnings on everything, including things like firecrackers.... wait, I think I can read something that looks like warning on the package, but it is too burnt to tell for sure... hmm.... 🙂

There're several websites with these warning messages (don't have any links handy but I'm sure a Google search will turn up a few).

One message has struck me. There's a small radio that's advertised that it can be used in the bathroom, even in the shower stall. However, the warning tag reads not for use in bathrooms! 😕
