Buzzing noise

Just put togetther a new machine about 2 weeks ago, started noticing a buzzing noise now when I
start gaming, wolfenstein, mcm2, quake3
perfectly quiet just sitting in windows
the noise seems to also happen when i scroll the wheel
on my mouse, although much quieter.
seems like the vid card draw maybe keying the noise?
I'm fairly sure the buzzing is comming from the power supply
but I spose I could be wrong, alot going on inside the case even with the case open and listening.
anyone have any words of wisdom?
RMA the power supply?
Thanks In Advance

Definitly sounds like it's coming from the power supply, I've turned off my speakers, and pay a bit more attention to it now.
It's wierd, Steady buzz during gaming, and will also buzz when loading web pages and scrolling the mouse on a web page. also will buzz steady when I activate a right click menu in some programs (MS Pub). and will stay buzzing until I off click it. and will buzz right back again when I right click again. I can make it come and go in games too by pausing.
doesn't seem to buzz when I scroll in a word document though. very strange. Any thoughts on what might have gone wrong with the power supply? or might it still be something else? thanks again for the input!

Sounds like a semiconductor making the noise, but i am not sure. probably a semiconductor on your video card, causing a problem with your PS. However, you have to be certain where the noise is coming from and people describe sounds very differently, so it's hard for anyone to give you advice in this situation without hearing it. either way, goodluck,

More than likely it is AC hum from a poorly shielded
cable on the speaker output (poor grounding).

Make sure it is routed away from any AC cords.

Also, what are you plugging the PC into?
(Power strip, Battery Backup, Powerline conditioner, etc...)

Cheap Power strips also tend to amplify the problem.

Thanks for the replies =o)
I have a new power supply on the way, I originally bought an enermax because of the good reviews.
How likely is it that it's possibly not the power supply, but something else causing the power supply to "buzz" Just has me concerened that the problem may possibly be a bad vid card or something else causing the power supply to "Buzz" ? Is that even possible? Outside of the very audible "buzz" the PC is working wonderfully.
Thanks again !
