Buzzing From PSU??

Recently installed a new mobo, cpu, heatsink. Used a case from previous computer. Everytime I move my optical mouse (when red light is lit) there is a buzzing coming from somewhere inside my comp. Its not the speakers, but i think it may be the PSU. With my old mobo, this never happened. Anyone have any idea how to stop this noise, its getting reallly annoying. I cant seem to find any related problems on google or such. Then there are times that the buzzing is constant, and when I move the mouse it stops. I dont have any other mouses to try either.

U got SB?

Some of the "old" creative soundblaster cards were guilty
of producing sounds when the mouse was moved.
Creative admitted the problem, but I never did see a fix.

Can anyone who has any advice please reply..this buzzing is driving me crazy. I now notice that the buzzing is constant, and it just gets louder when my optical mouse is moving (as soon as the red optic lights up). I dont think it is this mouse or keyboard, maybe my PSU is goign bad?

This is bizzare, there should be no correlation between the mouse and the power supply....at all. You need to pull the cover off and exactly pin-point where the sound is coming from.

Well it is indeed bizzare, i have never ecountered something like this. From what I can hear, it is coming from the PSU, unless the PS/2 port is able to make this sound which i doubt it. Any ideas and what to do? Should I go out and buy a USB mouse?

Definately try a new mouse, they are cheap, but this is totally illogical. If you hear a buzzing all the time, that's a sign of a failing fan. The only thing I can remotely guess is your mouse is broken and drawing way too much current. When the demand goes up, the power supply gets hottter and then the (bad) fan speed increases causing more/louder buzzing.

I would unplug the internal PC speaker connector to be sure it's not coming from that. Years ago I had a joke program that would make the internal speaker buzz when a certain key was pressed, lol.

Well just an update, went out and bought a wireless USB mouse and it stopped. Plugged it into the PS/2 port also, and no more buzz. Thanks for the help.

How from mouse can go buzzing sound from computer?

I we had the same prob, but the prob its in transistors on mobo makes this noise when open windows or scroll.

But i cant understand how autor change mouse and buzzing sound gone.
Transistors yes, they can make buzzing noise, but mouse? I dont think so.
