Hey,

I bought a Asus Xonar DX soundcard not too long ago. Unfortunately I can hear a some sort of static interference sound when moving windows etc, and when playing games it becomes a constant buzzing sound that's really annoying. Same thing happens when playing videos but the sound dissapears after a short while. The sound is louder if I make the video full-screen. I tried lowering the resolution in-game (I have a 30" monitor with 2560*1600 resolution) and the buzzing sound got less annoying and dissapeared after a short while just like with videos.

I tried to upgrade from the Xonar DX to the Xonar STX but the same problem exists.

1. I don't get any interference using the onboard sound.

2. I can't hear the sound when I use my headphones but my friends can hear the annoying buzz through my microphone when we play games and speak on skype.

I've already tried changing the location of the soundcard and GPU but it made no difference. Tried uninstall/reinstall the latest drivers - same thing.

Any ideas?

My components are:

Asus P8P67 B3 motherboard
Intel i-5 2500
Geforce GTX 560 Ti
Asus Xonar Essence STX
