gamespot has a football roundup here
If you dont wanna watch it (its kinda long), i can tell you that all 3 editors said 2k3 was better than madden.

I've only played Madden for the PC but it seems you can't really go wrong either way....

i dont like the running game in madden. its nearly impossible to gain any ground or break tackles. the computer does it consistently. also on defense its hard to break the offensive tackle and make your way to the qb. the game also doesnt allow you move drop dead on a dime. if your commited to one direction and you decide to switch the other way, your player goes in this full circle motion which basically allows your opponent to blow right past you.

2K3 has a better running game, also the control is tight. <-- get this one. also the franchise mode rocks.

can you add an option to just see results on the poll?

I haven't played either one yet, but I have EA's NCAA 2003, so if I decide to buy an NFL game, I'd probably get NFL 2k3 for variety.

there's a thread in hot deals... i guess i can find it for you.. here... if you buy nfl 2k3 and another game you get $100 worth of pizza hut pizza.. that might be worth checking out if you want to get nfl 2k3 and crazy taxi 3... the free pizza will make up for the price of the two games.. so it's well worth it.. if i had $100 to front, i'd probably do it.. anyway.. there it is

I think thats a personal problem, not to flame or anything but I sure as hell can gain ground and break tackles. I've been a Madden fan for years and I've played 2K2 but not the new one and I prefered it over Madden, tried the New Madden last night and I will be gettin it for sure.

That's not out yet is it? I've been getting NHL series games for PC since they started in like '92 or something.

That Pizza Hut deal mentioned above is great, except I don't like any of those other Sega titles besides 2k3... and that's what I would get... 2k3 over Madden. Even check out what others have to say about it at the Gamefaq.com message boards... there's plenty of threads about it there... gamefaq boards

get 2k3 the running game is better. the franchise mode is better. the (espn) presentation is better. and EA wont support madden 2003 online after 2004 comes out but sega will keep their 2k3 severs up just like they did for the dreamcast.

sega has always been better at sports games than EA IMO. the controls are better and the interface is easier.

regardless which one you pick, don't forget to pick up Dead to Rights. AWESOME GAME!!!

Doesn't one of them not support online play for the xbox? If so, get the one that does support it.

The running game in Madden is nice.. breaking tackles is easy ;) Don't know what the guy up there is talking about..
