i'm a total Paypal noob. I set up the account about 4 years ago
and just transferred $$ into it to buy a juicy video tutorial.*

the problem is, the Paypal page is in French, and it has
a lot more data field entries than your normal Paypal page. i think.
since i'm a noob, i'm not sure.

when you're buying stuff with Paypal, what do you give them -
just your Paypal email address ?

if you were presented with a Paypal page in French, do you
just look for "adresse Paypal email", fill in your Paypal email
address, and forget about the other stuff ?

* no, it's not pron. :gift:

Don't trust paypal. If they don't have a credit card service then i wouldn't bother. Paypal is very unsecure. Not worth the trouble IMO.

I have used Paypal. I have a PP account, but I have not used it in over a year, and don't intend to. The PP credit side is by GE Financial - not a good choice these days.

BTW - my PP is all in English. French? You must be in France.

thanks for the replies !

the vendor is a 3D software company in England. they sent me screen
captures, and one of the log-in's is a typical Paypal log-in, in English.
i'm in the CONUS, continental US.

one of the reasons i'm using Paypal in conjunction with a checking account
is, that way i'm limited to the amount of money in the checking account -
about $200, in this case. one of the pages i looked at allowed you to use
a credit card to pay for Paypal, which does not seem like a good idea.

i was ripped off by an English 3D software company named WoolleySoft
about 10 years ago, so i'm a little more gun-shy about giving an English
company a credit card #.

That is understandable. Paypal will issue you their own credit card, that is what is run by GE Financial. It is called PayPal Plus, and is a MasterCard. Credit is credit as far as the vendor is concerned. If you contact them, they might accept an International Money Order, or you could mail them a check. I have had several transactions with European vendors, and all of them used a US purchasing agent such as SWReg or DigitalRiver.
