I wanna buy satellite TV set, but first need few answers:

1. I have 2 TV's in my house and dish and receiver, what else i need to watch 2 different channels from same satellite on 2 TV's?

2. Who manufactures dishes, name top 3?

3. What dish design is better "prime focus" or "off set"?

4. Should i buy metal or aluminium dush for setup on roof?

I can answer #1 for you, but the rest you're on your own: You need a dual LNB (the large round bit of the dish that comes out on an arm and points back at the dish) and two authorized recievers from your carrier.

PS: this thread would probably go over better in OT.

Doh so i need second reciever as well this could cost crapload of money. Is there some recievers that allow connecting 2 or more LNB at same time?

Who says i have carrier, i gona catch all satellites i can find and stick with free channels for now.
Few more questions:
5. Hardware supporting USALS (universal satellites automatic location system) have option to disable USALS and position dish manually like with DiSEqC 1.2?

Those are some basic, but important questions. I recommend a google search, and getting the facts straight. This is an evolving area, you'd be better served getting it from the source.

I have the Dish Network satellite setup. It uses 1 dish feeding 1 receiver box that has 2 tuners in it, plus a DVR (Digital Video Recorder). The receiver is on top of the 1st TV and uses an infrared remote; the 2nd TV has a cable feed from the receiver and it uses a UHF remote that goes through walls, floors etc., to operate the receiver/tuner. Each TV can view or record a different channel at the same time. The single dish has 2 cables connected to it, one for each tuner in the receiver.

Doing it yourself seems to me to be more effort than it's worth. Just have a satelllite company do it. I didn't pay anything for parts/labor to get it installed, just the monthly satellite charge.
