Buying Quicktime Pro for mac

I need some input,
Basically I?m trying to get QuickTime Pro 7 for Mac for my dad since he is heavily into video editing. He doesn?t live in the US (but I do) so would I need to purchase it differently if it?s for him?
Can I only buy it through apple.com or is there a place where I could purchase it via Paypal?
Finally how does the process work? Do I just get an email with the cdkey? Is that cdkey attached to the name it was bought under?

When I bought QT 6.0 Pro, the key was tied to my name and email, I think. I don't see any reason why you couldn't just buy it and give him the info to enter.
