Buying Pioneer HU & speakers from Best Buy...bad idea?

Hey - I'm planning on stopping by BB today, and looking for a new Pioneer head unit & some 6x9 speakers. I have a long drive next Saturday, so I'd like to get this in asap - I don't really want to wait for a mail-order place. Are they as overpriced on car audio as they are for hardware? If so, where would you recommend I look?

I'm looking to spend under $150 for the HU, and under $100 for good 3-way Pioneer 6x9s...am I going to find anything, or should I buy this from eBay...about $90 for TS-A6995 6x9 4-ways..max power handling 300w, 80w nominal.

Nevermind...lol, they want $159.99 for the DEH-2400F - I can get a DEH-3400 for $155 on eBay...

Buy the stuff at BB provided they'll have one of their monkeys install it for you within the week. Even with the free installation, it's going to cost about $50+ dollars for the "extra gear", but they'll do it and you have someone to b!tch at if something is wrong. If you do it yourself, it'll take your time and energy.

Circuit City is more expensive than eBay for 300w Pioneer 6x9s..so I'll probably buy everything online & install myself...I don't want to pay $159.99 + tax at Best Buy, when I can get the next step up for less $..

If you buy a deck at Crutchfield, you get the wiring harness you need and any dash kit you might need (+ detailed installation instructions for your specific car or truck!) for free. Other places will charge up to $20 for each, so keep Crutchfield in mind, even though their prices don?t appear spectacular at first.

I'd say buy it from Best Buy with the 4 year PSP. I've got a Pioneer DEH-P6400 that I just bought from them about... 4 months ago that I'm going to nuke soon once they release the new versions. Plus if you get something that gives up after the manufacturer's warranty, then you're covered. My two cents...
