Buying photo paper online

As the topic/summary state, I am trying to decide which photo paper to buy online. I'm just not sure about the thickness. How does 8 mills compare to the paper you would get from a professional developer?

It varies from about 6 - 10 mils.

Professional color paper is about 10 mils.

my friend gave me a box of polaroid premium photo paper for my bday, and they are surprisingly good, works really well with my canon s820. they are 260g/m^2, 10.4mil, about $22 for 100sheets, they are a bit hard to find in your B&M store, you might have to order it online. you are talking about inkjet photo paper, right?


prof super glossy paper is 11.8mil according to this chart I have.

I didn't know photo paper varies by thickness.. I used to get Ilford or Agfa, both semi-pearl - had excellent resutls with both.
