Moving to a townhouse and Im basically buying all new furniture for my room. Im looking at buying this bed frame, probably in a full size. My stupid question is do I need to buy a box spring for it, or just a mattress?

personal preference, but based on my own experiences with the height of Ikea beds, I'd want a box spring.

i would just get those riser/stand things that go under the legs. makes for more storage space underneath as well

You will need to buy the slatted base if you don't have a box spring.

"Slatted bed base, mattress and bedlinens are sold separately."

I assume a box spring is not necessary then?

I refuse to answer your question until you realize that a "nub" is what you have in your pants, and a "noob" is what you are to mattresses.

i just realized it

Get a sheet of plywood or MDF, cut it to size.

Put 2xX's underneath it, on top of bed but under matress.

$25 box spring, ftw!

That bed's a Scandinavian style. They don't use box springs, so it's not designed aesthetically to look good with one, i.e, it wasn't designed with one in mind.
