Looks like the NF7-S is the way to go. but looking for last minute opinions/suggestions...
will be using Athlon 3200+, not going to overclock.
Also recommend some RAM, want at least a gig.

I agree on the NF7-S from my own (and my dads) experience with them. Exceeded my expectations and manages to suprise me once or twice a week with another small tweak or feature that I missed.

Im not massively into RAM anymore. As long as my processor runs over 200 mhz FSB then I couldnt care less so Im sorry I cant help with this question.

EDIT: Thats assuming you mean an Athlon XP 3200+. The NF7-S wont take an Athlon 64 3200+.

Turns out I'm not ordering the mobo today, (but I did order my RAM from newegg: Corsair XMS Extreme Memory Speed Series, Low Latency (Twin Pack) 184 Pin 1GB(512MBx2) DDR PC-3200).

Yes, the ASUS A7N8X Deluxe is also on my list of mobo's to consider, but I'm finding that the majority of folks are recommending the Abit NF7-S. Still looking for recommendations and reasons why to buy one over the other (or any other choices available).

Now my schedule is about a week or two away from buying a motherboard. I currently have a barton 2600+ and a Soltek SL-75FRN2-L and it's a great combo, but I plan on giving that to my daughter and get something new for my barton 3200+ and corsair RAM listed above.

I have no experience with the Asus, but the NF7-S is the best board I've owned to date.

I have the Asus and the Abit, I'd get the Abit. Also, I'd go for one of the mobile Bartons and overclock instead of spending all that cash for the 3200+.

Check out the DFI NFII Ultra Infinity or LanParty boards - you will not be disappointed. Tech support (if you ever need it) is also top-notch at www.amdmb.com with DFI rep Angry_Games.
