Hi Folks,

I currently have an Epox 9NPA+ Ultra 939 mobo and a gig (2 chips) of CORSAIR ValueSelect 1GB (2 x 512MB) 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory with Cas Latency 2.5. I was thinking of adding another gig with two chips of this: mushkin 512MB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200) Desktop Memory with Cas Latency 3.

I was wondering if they will play well together?

No overclocking, just want a bit more grunt for upcoming Vista upgrade.

Thanks!

just manually set the ram timings to the slowest set and you should be fine

Is that difficult to do? I've never overclocked and am familiar enough to know it is in the bios somewhere. I understand RAM timings are the "3-3-3-8" part, do I set for each lowest number? Would probably help if I could find the timings for the corsair :)

you just set the one timings in the bios for the slowest part. it is not difficult at all. the issue is is that if you are trying to run a slower part at tighter/faster timings you could have issues. by slowing the timings in the bios (which slows all the ram timings) down, you run at the slowest speed of your ram - fast ram can run slow, but slow ram can't run fast. honestly, you will not notice a difference.

for the corsair, just go to their website and type in the part number and you should be able to find the settings pretty quick
